This is what I believe Ace Attorney 7 will be like. I made a fake interview to go with it.
Capcom has recently confirmed that Ace Attorney 7 has begun production and will once again star Phoenix Wright as the main protagonist. They’ve actually taken the time to consider the criticism for shoehorning Phoenix back in Ace Attorney 5. To make up for it, the writers are working hard on continuing the story arcs of characters Apollo Justice, Athena Cykes, and further push out Phoenix Wright’s and Miles Edgeworth’s.
“Phoenix’s return to the courtroom wasn’t recieved well by old-time fans,” says Motohide Eshiro, “so we did everything we could to extend the characters’ [but mostly Phoenix’s] story arcs, by turning them into inanimate objects or animals some time in their lives. Y’know, something that actually makes sense to do.”
Not much is known about Ace Attorney 7 at the moment, but we do know that it releases in Japan on April 1st, 2018. Capcom also plans on bringing this title west later that year. So far all we have of the game is this artwork showing Miles Edgeworth as a train.
